In hosting this convening, KnowledgeWorks Foundation hoped to: 1) Probe critical issues of the future in order to consider what learning experiences might be relevant for students, 2) Explore how learning might be delivered in the future, 3) Begin imagining what types of roles might be constructed to deliver such learning, and 4) Examine how these roles might be supported within a larger system or profession.

In hosting this convening, KnowledgeWorks Foundation hoped to develop a knowledge-era vision for preparing quality teachers. The foundation also hoped to identify the most essential elements of, and the barriers and steps in reaching, that vision.
